Classic, but it can help you be prepared to make for a "Quick meal the Houston's way". Some of what I say must be redundant to my long time customers but I have new customers showing up every week; so, let me explain again how my store works. We are not like a grocery store where we have all items all the time. Think of us as more like the St. Jacobs farmers market (much much smaller of course). We bring in fresh meat from several sources to have it available for weekend shopping. Our fresh meat from our Mennonite supplier comes in on Wed. P.M. mid afternoon or later. It includes our Deli products fresh free run chicken, fresh pork and all of our sausage fresh and frozen. We purchase our Black Angus beef directly from a farm in Warkworth. We have it aged, then cut and vacpacked to our specs and we pick it up on Friday. Beef has a longer shelf life than chicken or pork so we have some fresh beef all week but our inventory peaks Friday afternoon. I have switched from wood heat to natural gas; so, I have a great little wood stove and chimney for sale. The stove is a Jotul - it is cast iron and without doubt from one of the finest stove makers. It easily heats 600 square feet and has a six hour burn. Stove and chimney = $1000.00 We have beef, chicken, duck, pork, lamb, bison & seafood that are excellent in taste and tenderness and have been raised with care by local farmers or Mennonite farmers in Heidelburg without the use of hormones and anti-biotics.
